Helpful Resources

VA - Mental Health

A DD214 is a crucial document issued by the Department of Defense that provides a summary of a veteran's military service, including dates of service, awards, and discharge status. It is commonly used to verify military service for various benefits, such as VA loans, education benefits, employment, and veteran's preference for government jobs.

Veteran Services

Veterans of the United States Uniformed Services may be eligible for a broad range of programs and services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Eligibility for most VA benefits is based upon discharge from active military service under other than dishonorable conditions.

DoD Transition Assistance

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provides information and training to ensure Service members transitioning from active duty are prepared for their next step in life, whether pursuing additional education, a vocational trade, finding a job in the public or private sector, or starting a business. DoD TAP should not be confused with TAPS, an acronym for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
